Health Care Reform PDF Print

America's health care system is home to the world's best providers, greatest doctors, and most advanced research and development.  But rising costs are hurting families, burdening small businesses, and making us less competitive in a global economy.  We have the most expensive care in the world - but we're not the healthiest as a result.  The goal of health insurance reform is to build on what works and fix what is broken so health care is more affordable for Orange County families and businesses.

That's why I'm committed to developing a solution that offers quality, affordable health care to all Americans.  Several House committees have been working together to draft H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.  This bill is far from perfect, and I remain greatly concerned about the costs of the measure. I will continue to work diligently to reduce the high costs of the bill between now and final passage of a conference bill.

In the meantime, I wanted to share the following links to keep you informed about this effort:

Earlier this summer, I hosted several roundtable forums and town halls with constituents, small business owners, consumers, doctors, nurses, and other health care providers to hear about what works - and what doesn't work - in our current system.  You can share your thoughts with me by calling my district office at (714) 621-0102 or my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-2965.  You can also send me an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
